Viññāṇa Institution of Learning, Research and Philanthropy - a charity founded by Isak R. Shaikh, is a membership Institution in India for those who are interested in learning, research and their applications in philanthropy. Constructive ideas are getting many others interested in what the Institution is doing. The objectives of the Institution are to advance and disseminate knowledge by providing research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit and by promoting integrated studies and inter-disciplinary activities of the Institution; to educate and train manpower for the development of philanthropy; and to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their academic, cultural, intellectual and spiritual development. Viññāṇa Institution's purpose and accountability are set out in its statute. Though the name "Viññāṇa (meaning consciousness)" comes from Pali language and the Buddhist texts, the Institution is not promoting any theology or its philosophy. Wide variety of skills are needed to run projects of the Institution.
